Anna Chlumsky

Anna Chlumsky, an American actor who received critical acclaim gained notoriety for her role as a child actor in the film 'My Girls 2', and the sequel. The lead roles she played continued to entice audiences with films such as "Trading Mom" and "Gold Diggers: The Mystery of Bear Mountain". There were awards she won for her performances in these films early in her career. During high school the actress began losing her interest in the entertainment business. She was absent from all of her fellow students at film shoots. She was interested in acting but her interest in the industry began to wane and she was able to focus on her schooling. While she aspired to become a food writer however, her best chance was an opportunity to be an fact-checker in Zagat restaurant guides. The following job she got at HarperCollins as an editing assistant left her unhappy. In response to the suggestions of her agent, she made the decision to get back into acting. She took acting classes in order to improve the skills she had developed. Within a couple of months it was her turn to play the part of Liza on 'In The Loop'. Soon afterwards she began appearing in Off Broadway shows. While she often ponders the ways things could have turned out differently had she not taken a break from acting however, she's grateful that she decided to take a break.
